Honouring Len Garrison: Three MA Studentships in Local History
Len Garrison
Black Cultural Archives and the University of Leicester Centre for Regional and Local History (CRLH) are proud to announce three fully funded MA studentships for the 2025-26 academic year, celebrating the legacy of CRLH alumnus and BCA co-founder Len Garrison.
These scholarships will support eligible students pursuing an MA in History (Local History), including a semester-long placement at Black Cultural Archives. This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in heritage and archival work.
Len Garrison’s own MA in Local History from the University of Leicester deeply influenced his pioneering contributions to Black British history and cultural preservation. This partnership ensures his legacy continues by empowering the next generation of historians.
