Donate To The Archive

Thank you for considering a donation to Black Cultural Archives! We are excited to accept donations of books and archival materials that align with our mission to collect, preserve, and celebrate the histories of people of African and Caribbean descent in the UK, while inspiring and giving strength to individuals, communities, and society.

What We Collect:

Library Donations: We focus on Black global history, welcoming a wide range of books and resources.

Archival Donations: Our archive specializes in Black British history, preserving the rich stories and experiences of African and Caribbean communities in the UK.

If you have materials you are considering donating, we’d be delighted to discuss them with you. Please contact us at archives@bcaheritage.org.uk, and our team will be happy to assist.

Please Note:

Our team is available to have a conversation if you have any doubts or would like to discuss your donation first. Once everything is agreed, a donation agreement will need to be signed to formalize the process.

Due to space and resources, we may be selective with the materials we accept. We aim to avoid duplicating materials already in our collection or accepting items outside our collecting remit. We kindly ask that donations are not dropped off at our door without prior communication and encourage you to reach out before bringing anything in.

We truly appreciate your support and look forward to hearing from you!
