Terms and Conditions for the Black Cultural Archives Newsletter Competition

  1. Eligibility

    • The competition is open to individuals aged 18 or over who reside in the United Kingdom.

    • Employees of the Black Cultural Archives, their immediate family members, and anyone directly connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.

  2. Entry Requirements

    • Participants must complete the newsletter feedback survey to be eligible.

    • Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple entries will not be considered.

    • Entries must comply with the survey submission rules to be valid.

  3. Prize

    • There are three (3) prizes available: a one-year digital membership to the Black Cultural Archives.

    • Membership benefits include:

      • Access to exclusive subscriber-only content.

      • Discounts on selected items and events.

      • Invitations to in-person and online events.

    • Travel, accommodation, and any other costs associated with attending in-person events are not included.

    • The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.

  4. Competition Period

    • The competition opens on [Start Date] and closes at 11:59 PM (GMT) on [End Date].

    • Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

  5. Winner Selection

    • Three winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries using [insert random selection process, e.g., an online tool or manual draw].

    • Winners will be notified via email within seven (7) days of the competition closing.

    • If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days of being contacted, an alternative winner will be selected.

  6. Prize Fulfilment

    • Digital memberships will be administered through the Black Cultural Archives’ Squarespace platform.

    • Membership details and activation instructions will be sent to winners via email within [timeframe, e.g., 14 days] of confirmation.

  7. General Conditions

    • The Black Cultural Archives reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice due to unforeseen circumstances.

    • The Black Cultural Archives accepts no responsibility for entries that are incomplete, lost, delayed, misdirected, or fail to be submitted due to technical issues or other circumstances beyond its control.

    • By entering, participants agree to these terms and conditions and any decisions made by the Black Cultural Archives, which shall be final.

  8. Data Protection

    • Participants’ personal data will be used solely for the purposes of administering this competition and will not be shared with third parties, except where necessary for prize delivery.

    • Winners may be asked for consent to use their name in promotional materials related to the competition.

  9. Governing Law

    • This competition is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and participants agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

  10. Force Majeure

    • The Black Cultural Archives shall not be held liable for failure to comply with these terms due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control.
