RECLAIMING NARRATIVES:
WOMEN OF LEGAL & GENERAL

We hope to inspire future generations to lead with authenticity, courage, and purpose, while reminding us all of the vital role that Black women play in shaping our collective future. This exhibition is not just a celebration of history—it is a call to action for the future, where leadership reflects the true diversity of our society.

This Black History Month, Legal & General proudly presents Reclaiming Narratives, an exhibition that honours the leadership, resilience, and brilliance of four exceptional Black women. Through powerful portraits, we celebrate their journeys and achievements as trailblazers who are reshaping the landscape of leadership and challenging traditional narratives.

At Legal & General, we recognise that diversity is not just a value—it is a vital strength. Our commitment to creating an inclusive environment, where every voice is heard and valued, is central to our mission. Through ongoing initiatives in recruitment, leadership development, and sponsorship, we strive to ensure that diversity is woven into the fabric of our organisation. But we also acknowledge the road ahead—true inclusion requires continuous action and reflection. While we celebrate progress, we know that we must persist in dismantling barriers that prevent equality in leadership and representation.

This exhibition reflects both the strides we’ve made and the journey still ahead. By shining a light on these four inspiring women, Reclaiming Narratives reminds us that inclusion means more than representation; it means empowering voices, recognising contributions, and fostering environments where every individual can thrive. It is a call to keep pushing forward, together, towards a future where diversity in leadership is not the exception, but the norm. Here at Legal & General we hope to Reclaim Narratives, foster equity, retain diversity and truly strive to build a better society, not just to improve the lives of our customers and create value for shareholders but internally too for every member of Legal & General.
